Bush looked great, from beginning to end, unlike the first debate, when he looked weary and hassled.

Using Ted Kennedy as a benchmark for positioning Kerry was not gratuitous at all.

If there had been a legitimate point to make by referring to the daughter, there would be no objection, but there was none, leading to the suspicion that is was ill- intended.

There was nothing comparable from either side in the debates, which is what is under discussion.

No, Cheney is not ashamed of his daughter, and they have talked about it openly. But it is smarmy to see if you can depress the conservative vote by bringing it up. Fortunately, it is futile.

I think that I heard... that he also said she was born that way. This was salient for me as I think too many people think it is a choice. Who in the world would choose a life style so popular with people...and one everyone accepts so readily...

This is what I have always said........A choice. Oh, that it would be.I would have two students alive instead of taking their own lives because of the kindness of pubic opinion about their sexual proclivity.

Anyway, I think Kerry took a kindly stand.
