I was simply flipping a point that someone made to justify a statement that importing drugs from Canada wouldn't work. Unfortunately, with billions of dollars at stake, I'm not sure how much scientists share their info/data and discoveries with other scientists worldwide. US drug companies a incredibly profitable, even after R&D, and they are not selling drugs to Canada at a loss. Canada asked for a discount, so the companies said, "sure". It would happen here if there was a central agency with enough clout to ask.
