We need a president who can engage the Europeans and bring them back to our side. The French are actually our allies, though you wouldn't know it from the past four years. Who's fault is that? Don't blame the French, at least not entirely, they were flummoxed and insulted by GW's first visit to Europe in 2001. Bush acted very unilateral and arrogant and the US has been paying for that ever since. Bush was also wrong, BTW. He should have worked to fix the Kyoto Treaty and the arms control treaties.
