"News is news."

Yep, I agree. the ability of media outlets to call something 'news' should be BROAD, and left to only the public to decide if they are correct, not the government, I believe.

But, the USUAL practice when dealing with a polemic from partisans (just before an election, when things are even more sensitive) is to 'bend over backwards' to maintain an appearance of even-handedness and fairness.

For example --- as the old rules from the '60s, '70s, and '80s required --- offering equal time for response. Or, perhaps bracketing the program with a polemic from the 'other side', for example Going Upriver..., which would have the inate appeal of addressing approximately the same general period of time and similiar events.

The fact that none of that is being done... and that Sinclair needs FAVORS from the FCC, big time, to pull it's bacon out of the fire before it's teetering financial house falls down around it's ears, I think speaks volumes.

Always follow the money.

"I certainly want to see the program myself. Aren't you curious?"

Absolutely! I LOVE propaganda, from whatever quarter. It's a personal interest of mine.
