Statistics without a point of reference proves little....a 3% growth rate might be fine without 18%+ mortgages and healthy servings of malaise....I agree that there were many failed economic ideas pre-Carter, but things did come to a head during his years and again, he had little or no idea what to do....I wore my sweater on cold evenings like a good little boy...did you?....wink
