Note the chart... I suppose it's just a coincidence that the tipping point came just after Bush took office.

The capital markets require a particular return on investment. If there is a "reduction in profits", the capital markets will require an increase in prices.


What assumptions are you making now? Requirements by capital markets vary.........return on investment is just one of them.
