Your argument makes no sense.

Its not an argument, its just a restatement of Hans' history.

Prior to the war he told the UN security council he could not affirm that Saddam had disarmed as resolution 1441 required, and he made no mention of when (if ever) he would be able to make that determination.

Thus, the coalition goes to war.

Then,after the war he makes statements along the lines of "If we had had another 4 weeks we would have determined if Saddam had met his obligations under 1441."

You said that He couldn't know how long it would take to inspect all of Iraq., and I agree, but he did make something similar to the above 2nd statement a few months after the war started. I recall when I read it that if he had ever said something so strong to the UN that war probably would have been averted (IMHO). He didn't, until he was a retired diplomat on the lecture circuit, and it had little affect on developments in Iraq.
