re: Can you explain what it is Bush did that caused it?

It's mostly what he hasn't done. He hasn't even attempted to stem the loss of manufacturing jobs, the ones at the lower end of the scale that pay the best. Instead that end of the employment scale is transfering to low paying service jobs as the higher paying manufacturing jobs go overseas. He hasn't done anything to stem the loss of employer paid health insurance. He has altered the rules for overtime, excluding 8 million workers. He hasn't raised the minimum wage. He has eliminated cap gains tax on dividends... which encourages distribution of profits rather than investment, investment that creates jobs. He has not tried to decrease the inflow of illegal aliens that compete for low end jobs.

If i worked on it a bit, I could probably come up with more...

Frankly, he has no jobs program. He only has a corporate profit program, and it is working quite nicely.

John

Tax cuts for the middle class and poor?

Try tax cuts for the rich and famous and a senseless war in Iraq.
