>>Can you imagine the effect the remarks about paraplegics walking if Kerry were elected went over?

True - for people who have spinal injuries, being told that they will "rise up out of their wheelchairs and walk" if Kerry is elected isn't funny. But I couldn't help wondering if next they'll start claiming that Kerry can raise the dead?

I did not know that about Mort's wife.

I do know that VA spine and brain injury hospitals are full of Veterans who cannot walk.

Kerry and Edwards won't be getting their votes.
I also doubt Mrs. Kondracke will be voting for them.

<<Did you know that Mort Kondracke, a Fox News panelist, has a dreadfully crippled wife? Can you imagine the effect the remarks about paraplegics walking if Kerry were elected went over?>>

There's a coffee shop guy who bit on that hook, line and sinker. He has lost about 90% of his vision due to diabetes and gets 4 large insulin shots a day, started losing his vision 4 years ago. Eats two greasy, sugary pastries at the shop and hauls a dozen home every day. His daughter also is now diabetic, lives with him and the two of them couldn't fit in the front seat of a Cadillac. Too late for him but he knows Kerry will push embryonic stem cell research and will cure his daughter.

Yep, a shot of stem cells will cure her. So would stapling her lips shut and putting a porcupine on the couch until she lost 200 pounds.

If I remember correctly, Kondracke's wife died recently. I seem to recall Brit Hume discussing it and saying how devoted Mort was to his wife during her lengthy illness.
