I think we would know nearly nothing about the corruption without the documentary evidence discovered in Iraq. Why should we? We did not have adequate human intelligence resources in Iraq, obviously, and we had no special leave to investigate foreign nationals. Even in the inquiry at the UN concerning this, we have no power of subpoena, and are wholly dependent on cooperation.

I do not understand your question.

Michael : There was no chance for a diplomatic reckoning. The Iraqi people have no use in liking Americans 5000 miles away. In fact, there is a direct correlation between Islamic hatred for the US and higher oil prices. The more they hate us, the higher the price of oil. Meanwhile, they get to sit back and laugh at $54 oil prices. Even further, the US will end up spending billions on the development of Iraq. As an Ameircan people, we have to stop sympathizing with a press that is hell bent on liberal idealism. We live in a world where is makes sense for OPEC nations to hate us. That will never change as long as 40% of the OPEC oil is consumed by US people. They get to bake their cake and eat it too. OPEC nations get chant anti US proganda at US citizens who buy a tank of OPEC gas every week.

Saddam had to be removed so that access to Iraqi oil was resumed. He was a man that no one could forgive for his invasion of Kuwait and for his treatment of Kurdish minorities along with everyone that he tortured and killed. He was an obstruction ot the largest oil fields in the world. Doesn't it make sense that he had to be removed so that Iraq's oil supply could increase the global supply of oil. I think there was no way for the West to save face with this man and he needed to be removed so that Iraq's vast oil portfolio could be accessed to help keep up with global demand.

We do not need to prove a case for war. Bush and Cheney have already done it. You are more than welcome to keep attacking them for the Articles of War that Congress signed. Is there some level of oil conspiracy to the fact that Saddam was not a viable leader. Of course!! Bush and Cheney did the right thing to exploit the probability of WMD that everyone in the world believed he possessed. The longer that Saddam dwelled in power, the longer it would take for Iraq to increase oil output. We couldn't wait for another 10 years to get Saddam out of power. He had to be gone now!! Isn't it interesting that the US troops recovered Saddam and not Osama?

I do not feel any apologies are necessary to justify the fact that we did not find evidence of the WMD that they suspected.
