No one needs to resort to dirty tricks where Kerry's background is concerned. His participation in the Winter Soldier Investigation, his 1971 testimony, and his meeting with the enemy in Paris, none of which he denies, is all that's necessary. His Senate record speaks for itself, despite HIS efforts to sanitize and glorify it. As you yourself have repeatedly said, he's trying to appeal to the middle now that he's in the race, which requires obfuscation and re-packaging of his Senate record. So what did YOU think of Kerry's remarks about his wife, mother etc.? What did your "Republican girlfriend" think? Did you regard that as his finest hour? Or do you just like slogans like "integrity, integrity, integrity?" I don't know about you, but if my mother felt the need to emphasize something like that to me, I'd have to wonder whether I'd been behaving less than honorably.

Hey, I met Fonda once. She was shopping at Robert's Market in Woodside. So was I. Forgot to tell her she should have been placed in front of a firing squad and shot for treason. I met Lily Tomlin too. In the Alaska First Class lounge at SFO. We were on the same flight to Palm Springs. Really nice lady. I did meet Barry Goldwater, though. Have you? Got any other names you want to drop? I'm sure you do. I haven't met Kerry, though. Which is good. I'd really have to fight myself not to deck him.
