Dummy, it's a random sampling of viewers of the debate. If they didn't watch, they can't answer the poll question "who won?" It's not meant as a "who would you vote for?" poll, where sampling from all registered or likely voters would be required for results to be scientifically valid. The sample for a viewer poll need not be representative of voters as a whole, only of those who watched the debate. Of those who watched the debate and are registered voters, ABC found an even split as to who won the debate. There is no "subtract 8%" adjustment to make.
