heresy? i'd say just the opposite. the market predicts oil will drop 16 bucks by 2010. EVERYBODY expects oil to tank--it is surely the most popular opinion in the entire world of finance.

Oil drops back and the effect of these high prices hits the market with a lag, after an interim rally. That seems to be heresy on most of these threads -- which is why I am leaning toward it.

I'm somewhere in between, at least for a while. I think the days of $30-$35 oil are gone for good, but we certainly are due for a pullback. however, if I'm wrong, I'll be on the low side.
