A correction: Kerry did say the terror threat is just a nuisance, didn't he? Or that it rightly should be considered as a nuisance. He mentioned prostitution and gambling as other nuisances.

I couldn't disagree more. I'm angry that the US treated the slaughter of small numbers of Americans as a mere nuisance for years before 911.

"Blameless"? - like asking if anyone is perfect. Of course, no one can be.

Though we come pretty close to be blameless when thinking of the Muslim world. We haven't wronged them, have pursued a foreign policy that is mostly pro-Muslim, and have bent over backwards to be sensitive to their sensibilities. And we've been treated like patsies for it.
