Here's Senator Kerry's out-of-the-blue comment:

"And I think if you were to talk to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian," Kerry continued, "she would tell you that..."

It wasn't out of the blue.........he was discussing gay marriage and the reaction of gays to proposed anti gay legislation.

But when was the last time Sen Kerry talked to Mary Cheney, if ever?

Probably never.........the operative word is 'if'.
