Thanks for the thoughtful analysis, as always. As I don't have a methodology like you, I just go mainly by gut. I suspect the markets may be a bit uneasy until the election outcome looks clearer, either way (rising oil prices don't help, either). I also suspect Apple is a good hold at least until first quarter earnings are out in mid-January. It can be a mistake to undersetimate the "January effect"--even if it starts in late November or early December. JMHO.

mchjc, P.S. For somwhat involved tax reasons, selling this year would not be a good thing for me. I wonder how I would feel if a sell were "on the table" for me. I think the same. For anyone still reading, a reminder. The two biggest mistakes investors make are selling their winners and holding on to their losers (too early and too long, respectively). I wonder how long I will ride what right now is a big winner.
