i thought it funny that these people would remember Kerry coming through in one action when there must have been dozens of fire fights each month in the area.

You said it before I got up off the floor. I was laughing so hard it hurt. If those interviewed were even in the vill during Kerrys Attack" they certainly would not remember that 1 day 35 years ago. Most have no clear recolection of 35 days ago. There is no reason for anything to be recorded and no means of of keeping long term records in the bush. The ONLY thing the 'interview' reinforced to me is the brave hero probably killed a dead man or at least one that was no threat to anyone-- just waiting a few moments in peace to die.
