I hadn't seen that pair of photos! Pretty damning, as far as Bush debating while wired goes - he lost anyway. Dumbya couldn't even win with cheating!
My own speculation is the the back bulge is a reciever-descrambler-transmitter that broadcasts (very short range, think BlueTooth) to another reciever-earpiece hidden in Bush's ear canal. So, no wire needed.
