"Since the Republicans will almost certainly continue to control the Congress if Kerry wins, I don't know what you're worried about. Divided government results in the excesses of the two parties being canceled out, as we saw during the Clinton years. Gridlock is your best friend in Washington."

Does this reference to the clinton years include the stock market collapse of 2000-2001, and the recession that began in 2000. To some degree the clinton years were a form of tulipmania. And after 9/11 how did we get out of the recession soon-to-be deflation/depression? Oh wasnt that tax cuts and low interest rates brought to you by Bush/AG. And even now with the recovery still not on such firm footing, you guys talk of taxing the entrepreneurial class while pushing the biggest social spending agenda since the war on poverty. Bush didnt face the deficits because he had a war and a potential depression to fight. Lets be honest Kerry would have done much the same thing--even i suspect the teresa tax cut for the rich as well as divident and cap gains cuts. The dems can demogoge but even they would have had to deal with 9/11 aftershocks. Mike
