I believe you will agree that the men more than earned their right to express their opinion,

Absolutely. Will Capt. Phillip Butler be on the program?

Retired Navy Capt. Phillip Butler of Monterey was held prisoner from 1965 to 1973 and after his release, attended the Naval Postgraduate School and earned a doctorate in sociology from University of California at Berkeley....
He is in San Francisco today with fellow members of Veterans for Peace to offer a "counter press conference" to an appearance at the Commonwealth Club by former Navy officer and Swift Boat veteran John O'Neill....

Butler told Matthews in the nationally televised program that he never heard of Kerry until he got back to the United States. He said he suffered periodic torture and abuse for four years -- 1965-69 -- in various prisoner-of-war camps, but that torture of POWs ended with the death of Ho Chi Minh in September 1969.
