Overwhelmingly, the veterans who served with John Kerry paint an utterly convincing portrait of a narcissistic and self-absorbed man who was already an outspoken critic of the Vietnam war at Yale and primarily concerned with quickly assembling a war resume, getting out and returning to the United States to join the anti-war movement, and start a political career even while his comrades were suffering torture and death in North Vietnamese prison camps. His current campaign exhibits all the charm of a snake-oil salesman.
