CHILD? Hardly. You right-wingers sure like to extend childhood when it's convenient for you--like Dubya's alcoholic "youthful indiscretions" extended to age 40 and parent of two. Bottomline is homosexuality is found in everyone's family tree and it's easy to spread anti-gay hatred when it's done to an anonymous group--when you break it down and show that it actually applies to individuals that's when people can see that it's hurtful. So it's ok to speak in hateful terms to the entire nation of gays but when you personalize it to Mary Cheney it's wrong. You hate-mongers need to realize that "those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." This wouldn't be an issue but is because Dubya wants to pass an unnecessary constitutional amendement to ban gay marriage--largely to show himself as a fighter for "morality" in contrast to us evil "liberals." Well I'm a liberal and PROUD of it--I live and let live.

Kerry has exposed the majority republican view that "lesbian" is a dirty word to them. It was OK for Kerry to say nice thing about the Bush twins, but say something nice about one of Cheney's kid's when asked about gay issues, and use the word "lesbian", and it's not OK to talk about the kids. LNS, it's the word "lesbian" that your party can't handle. But, try to get use to it, Lesbians aren't going anywhere.
