Anyone with half a wit would realize that the only way an institution as mammoth as the Federal Government could have gone from deficits to surpluses, was by employing dubious accounting methods. Along with the statistics that supported the PR hype that we were in the middle of a "boom" because some people had made profits from the stock market bubble. The reality that there was no boom, that there was no surplus, is as lost as the truth about Bill Clinton's honesty.

How much have Mr. Bush's reckless tax cuts contributed to the current deficit...?

Zero, zilch................you'll finally GET it when you realize that it is spending that fuels the deficit.

>>How much have Mr. Bush's reckless tax cuts contributed to the current deficit...?<<

None and have actually contributed to reducing what would have been an even greater deficit given the disasterous monetary policy's of the 90's. Jim Willie's right about one thing, you know little about economics.

Spending creates deficits.
