Possible. But ya gotta ask yourself. "If she was at home in his commment, would he have made the point about the bed?"

Yes she could have. There are places that rent them and some places that loan them. When my wife broke her knee off I got one from LIFE-CIL and hauled it home on a trailer. Darn things are very heavy due to the motors, I hired movers to take it back. I got a call at 10 in the morning saying my wife was being released from the hospital at 3pm and needed the bed. Hospitals are good about keeping you in the dark and dumping everything at once.
