When was the last time you saw somebody in the Dept. of Education stand up and teach a class. That should tell everybody right there they are just a sinkhole for taxpayer dollars. What does the DOE do? They collect Federal taxdollars from the citizens of States, pay for their bureaocracy out of that money and then return the rest of the money back to the States where it came from in the form of Fedeal Programs. The States could have done the exact same thing with the money without paying the Fed's overhead.
