That was the Marx Brothers first movie, based on a Broadway play they had had considerable success with. They had been vaudeville stars and Broadway stars already, and were about to become Hollywood stars. They were already in their forties, but many of their friends and collaborators, such as George Kauffman and Arthur Fried, were migrating to Hollywood........
