You can generate all the taxable income you want but if the tax rate is zero your tax revenues are zero.

There is a point where it doesn't matter. Is a 3% tax rate going to generate significantly more economic growth and tax revenue than a 6% rate? Finding the sweet spot is the kicker.

Furthermore, cutting taxes on the wealthy doesn't increase revenues. I a corporate executive earning $250,000 going to change anything if he has to pay 15% vs 12%? not likely.

Finally, government spending is also a boost to the economy. Building highways, airports, paying social security to people who spend that money generates jobs and revenue. So taxing and spending, to a point, helps keep the economy moving.

You'll generate more tax revenue by lowering taxes not increasing because you generate more taxable income to people via more people working. Why is this so hard for you guy's to understand?

Besides, the only times liberals care about deficits is when they're not in power.

FYI, the Liberals are the ones that take responsibility for reigning in the budget. Do you remember the surplus of a few years back?
