On an inflation adjusted basis it is. But it's not over yet, because post-election as per AG and G7 agreement we get 20-30%, or more haircut in USD and thus $65 oil.

It is just a transfer of wealth, and the sooner alternative energies and more fuel efficent engines get developed, the more wealth you keep and the less gets transferred. There are choices.
