That's assuming no refrigeration, no storage, and just-in-time delivery. With approximately 280 million people, and starting with those dying anyway, and the fattest [who have the highest calorific demand, and provide the most nutrition], it would take a year just to use up the first 10%. That's because one monster weighing 300 kg could feed ten trim people for a month, or one person for a year. So the population would only drop 10% for the first year. Then, as the fatties are used up, the rate of reduction would increase as a skinny 60kg person would only feed 10 people for 6 days [continuing to assume something like 1kg a day is needed to keep people going] or one person for 2 months [give or take a little]. So in the third year, when there aren't any fatties left, it would be taking 6 people a year to keep another going. The population would be dropping quickly in the fourth year! After ten years, there wouldn't be many people left. Traffic jams would be few! Housing would be cheap. Mqurice
