Shouldn't take more than 6 more months to train enough Iraqis to police their own country. It's not like we're training them to be surgeons. A Canadian journalist, recently freed by captors in Iraq, has said clearly that he was shuttled from safe house to safe house, and that Iraqi police were everywhere complicit in his captivity. The magnitude of the problem there is beyond our understanding. Well said! Too many people think that Iraq should be remade in our image and that should happen fairly quickly. The truth is there is little similarity between Iraq and the US. And therein lies the dilemma. ted
