German U-boats were sinking American ships in sight of the American coast in 1942. Lots of them. German saboteurs were landed on American soil. And German_Americans were NOT interned in enmass in spite of this. They certainly could have acted as spies or saboteurs without a German invasion. Also, the largest concentration of Japanese-Americans were in Hawaii- -right in the wat zone- -and they were NOT interned. Doing so would have brought Hawaii's economy to a standstill. The fact that they were not interned in the area where they presented potentially the greatest threat is highly suspicious in itself. The failure of the Congressional committee in 1977 to consider info from Magic clealrly indicates their conclusions were predetermined and they wanted to hear nothing that would contradict it. Nevertheless, there are some serious oddities about what was done with regard to Japanese-, German-, and Italian-Americans.
