Karen, Reasonable people in other countries, don't make snap judgements. The respond to an American depending on how the American acts, and speaks. Some of the foreigners make the mistake of judging all Americans because of measures taken by our government, as if they were, personally, accountable, but most of them have better sense.

Polls are a farce. They can, easily, be control by the people selected by the pollster, and can be manipulated to lean toward the opinion of the pollster. That is why there is such a difference among the many polls being use to try to get some idea of the standing of the candidates.

If any person relies on the polls in order to make their decision on who to vote for, they shouldn't be voting at all. It is easy to decide who to vote for if one does some research on the past actions of the candidates. What a candidate says they are going to do, if elected, cannot be completely trusted at any level. We need to know what that candidate has supported, and done, in his history.

There has never been an elected person, or candidate, that has not made a mistake or two, but one can find a trend in that candidate if they do a little research. The election of a President, is not a beauty pageant.
