Actually, you are referring to the LIBERAL Bar association. The bi-partisan organizations support both nominees. Charles Pickering had the support of every major black leader from his home state. Many went on national TV and decried the lynching Democrats administered to him. Democrats like minorities as long as they know their place. Uppity minorities have to be taught a lesson. Denying highly qualified judicial appointees is one way of keeping the minorities on the farm.
