Is it not the President’s cronies that benefit the most from high oil prices? You know Enron (while chasing easy profits) successfully drove electricity prices to the stratosphere here a few years ago, because they could. Similarly, traders artificially inflating the cost of oil are doing so because they can, and backers of this Administration benefit. That a spike in oil prices is an effort to unseat Bush, on the face of it, is absurd. Are you suggesting Bush opponents have the capability?

On the long side of a SNDK trade at <$21, expecting a post-election, Holiday runup for a few bucks.
