What I'm talking about is the physical reaction to alcohol that the alcoholic experiences. This is different from the problem drinker. The problem drinker can, with whatever it takes in care etc, stop drinking and perhaps later pick up a drink and be okay if they have dealt with the underlying issues and their mental addiction. An alcoholic can not touch a drink for years and with one drink will be off and running again due to the physical reaction. There is no such thing as one drink. To refer to someone addicted mentally and to some degree physically, as alcohol affects the body, as the same as an alcoholic is not true.
