Fine. Seems to me detaining these people is a good idea.


If "associating with an extremist group" is grounds for indefinite detention, do you support the idea that the populations (or at least governments) of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates should (if practical) be thrown in Gitmo for "associating with the Taliban"? Those three countries (I believe) were the only three to officially recognize the Taliban government. That certainly qualifies as "associating with extremist countries".

Should they all be thrown in Gitmo?
