Ace, vaccinating children for things like DPT, measles, hepatitis B, etc.. IS an entirely different case than SEASONAL vaccinations for influenza (which mutates every year). You clearly don't understand the issue here. The fact of the matter is that YOUR govt. FAILED in ensuring adequate supply of vaccine, WHICH IS THEIR CLEAR MANDATE TO ENSURE THE PUBLIC HEALTH. WTF is the CDC for anyway? It's funny that vaccines for children in the rest of the Western world is viewed as a second-nature routine thing, almost a "right"... In America-the-Great, it's viewed as a "privilege". I can't believe that that prior to '93 there were no program in place to ensure that children recieved vaccines?????? In my country, in the 60's, 100% of children receive vaccines through school programs and through pediatric care programs - 100% funded by taxes free of charge. IT'S FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD, IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT CONCEPT.
