damaging TV ads against Bushy Kerry is starting to get tough, not necessarily nasty this is starting to look like a twisted replay of 1992 recent TV ads seen: - armless soldier who talks of lies regarding Iraqi War - Bushy Sochacurity plan would cut benefits 30-40% - Ohio mythical lost jobs (Snow statement) are real - higher health care costs but worse coverage for working families - various job loss from gonzo mfg plants - an out-of-touch depiction of Bushy as a few people talk I would like to see an ad on Carlysle Group and Bushy Sr involvement talking about profiteering by $300 million for investors last week I met a friend at my sports club he talked about a friend from college in his own machine tool business the college buddy changed his business to repair and refurbish machine guns used in Iraqi War the guy is quickly becoming a millionaire the college buddy loves the war, loves Bushy, loves machine gun bizz he says there are several contractor businesses which flourish my friend made a conclusion he expects with all the mfg sent to Asia, and service outsourcing to Asia, that the only remaining mfg functions in the US Economy in a few years will be military contractors I reminded him that smart bomb inertial guidance systems require a specific magnet device, which is supplied to the Pentagon by China I reminded him that the bullet shortage is acute, supplied by Canada and Israel and Italy (unsure of Italy) I concluded that the US Economy is slowly morphing into a wartime economy and police state war is good for some businesses too bad it devastates the economy in general first war in our history, paid with a credit card where the banker is from Asia, impatient, angry, worried / jim
