Got any suggestions for <<Some foreign exposure in currency and such>>?

There are many approaches.

1) Just buy Canadian, Australian, Swiss $

2) Buy Canadian or Australian equities eg: Taikun and Jay Chens Australian energy stock ERA.ax or Canadas gold producer Placer Dome PDG.T. (There is expectation of significant CDN $ appreciation against the US $ going forward as a bonus)

3)Buy a CDN or AUS real estate mutual fund in those countries.
etc.etc

You get the picture.

If you decide to expand your investment horizons, it would seem logical to decide on the location and mix and then zero in and choose the best vehicle within that criteria. When you reach this stage, SI has lots of resources (on line SI people)at your disposal from around the world to help in final selections.

Does that help at all?? or.......?

American Eagles and NEM. Gold is the universal money and IMO is the only certain bet as the dollar tanks. That's what the current bull market in gold is really about... quiet accumulation by dollar holders for protection of wealth.
