Foreign govt bonds in those countries should do well IMO

Mish, when you refer to "do well" do you mean in repsect of their currency vs. the $ US or in regards to interest rate returns?

Can, Aus and NZ are all good ..

I've been holding Aus and NZ bonds for the past several years. Both economies are well-positioned and (compared to the United States, at least) well-run politically. NZ is particulary impressive in this regard, very transparent and open regime.

I've read that South Africa is also a good play in this respect, but I don't know enough about it to invest. And their political leadership doesn't impress, so I'm not sure of their longterm prospects.
