I never said Bush never flew solo. I said it's never been proven he ever flew a real jet fighter solo. That is, not a trainer, with or without the instructor at his side. But it's possible he never flkew solo. Some models of that training jet have two cockpits, one for the instructor who controls the stick.

I dont debate he learned elementary jet flight. After all he spent four years learning (while avoiding the draft). But I also know as soon as he was cleared for real high altitude jet flight, he quit and also refused to take a drug test. He never flew again after that.

Reports are he was a druggie and boozer at the time. That would explain it. He also may have been arrested for cocaine in 1972. Why else was he doing inner city community service in Houston in 1972 when he should have been showing up for duty?
