ANZ will not open non-residency accounts in Australia either.

I find this odd given their size, though their internal controls and computer systems are quite antiquated so this may be for the best.

The Australian banks, and their New Zealand subsidiaries, which will open foreign accounts are: NAB, Westpac, Citibank, HSBC, and Lloyds TSB.

It's likely there are more, but these are the big banks.

What is needed to open an account at all Australian banks by mail, internet, or in-person is a completed S-21 Form with photocopies of IDs, in addition to the usual account signature cards.

This is the S-21 Form from Citibank, though they're the same at every bank, with a different bank name at the top of the form.
