In 1972 George Herbert Walker Bush was a new Congressman. Maybe your first term Congressperson has the kind of power you imagine Bush 41 did then. More likely not. You have the most active imagination any of us have encountered in a long time. In most offices records from 30 years ago got shredded a long time ago. Sometimes good records destruction policy is just that. McCain should be a Democrat. In Arizona he would be dumped if he switched parties. The Republican Party has more self respect than to nominate a Democrat in Republican clothes (except NY City). The Democrat Party thought that by sending Johnny Dishonorable Discharge out as a hero they stood the best chance of beating a popular war time President. They started on September 12th 2001 to criticize him to smear his record and try to create the misrepresentation that he had been duplicitous. One must be beneath contempt to admit they are a Democrat. No wonder McCain the closet Democrat stays in the Party of honor. And Kerry belongs in the party of Stolen Honor.
