Democrats tried to bring up the draft. House leadership brought up the Democrat bill to re-institute the draft for a vote. Only Democrats voted for it. Democrats were upset when Republicans all voted against the Democrat draft proposal. Democrats hoped to use it as a wedge issue. Kerry tried stumping with it recently. Because the only people talking about restoring the draft are Democrats only the addle-minded believe anything but that Democrats are using it as a scare tactic. The military don't want the draft. Only Democrats want the draft. Democrats want the draft because they can use the threat as a way to scare the minorities back into their camp. Democrats don't care about minorities, just their votes.
