<"take turns"> tend to go badly wrong, more than half of the time.

However, who would ever trust a system like that for more than half a turn??

PS Long time ago, EU made an official complaint on both the year before the presidential "take your turn" elections, the time after it, and then the elections to the house and senate, leaving kind of nothing inbetween..

However, luckily US does not "take 2-party turns" in both the house, senate, president and supreme judges on the same november 2de.

<the party now out of power>

House, senate, the presidential institution or, if all other fail, supreme court??

with 95% safely gerrymandered districts??

However, gerrymandering has served USA very well, especially in the late 1960s and early 1970s, all through the 1980s.

p~s~e~u~d~o democracy??

FEC style??

c-span.org

However, it could easily be much worse..

Btw, if the party now in power, grabs again, due to the gerrymandering, all the power once again??

Ouch, what a crises...

And all those already so well gerrymandered voting districts, for the next 25 years, as some say.

Ouch, what a crises...

Now, that credibility?? (of FEC or anyone else??)

However, political survival might be saved for some short years, that gives another ounce of hope.
(but wasting it all might give even more hope for fundamental change??)
