Public officials are public targets. They are subject to DAILY death threats. Their families are harassed. Their investments and income are public knowledge and suggestions of misconduct are everywhere. Worst of all is the guilty until proven innocent mentality of the both sides. I admire ANYONE who runs for public office. It sucks...
