You decide for yourself. I evaluate the candidates on policies, character, performance, not group labels you may want to attach to them. I would imagine he falls in the "liberal" as opposed to "conservative" camp, but don't really use those categories for anything.

Both liberation and conservation sound like good ideas to me.
