"I am just curious. Please tell me whether the voting was electronic or required filling in a form & etc?

Why did you vote early? To avoid the crowds on Nov. 2nd?
Do you anticipate any public disturbance on polling day?"

The voting went like this. First I sat in the waiting area for five-ten minutes. Then the reception person told me to go to desk three (they had about five desks set up with computers). The desk three lady looked at my driver's license and voter reg card and entered some stuff in the computer.

There were a couple of other ladies watching this to see if the computer was working right ... it did work right. She then gave me a paper form to sign under oath saying I was abiding by the voting laws, and pointing out the penalties if I was caught cheating.

I was then given a plastic card and sent to the voting area. They had six booths set up, with a guy overseeing the process. I inserted my plastic card into the machine and a screen came up. I voted by touching the relevant portion of the screen, which was none too easy, would be better if they gave you a stylus. When I had finished, a screen came up showing all my votes and asking if I wanted to change any. I punched the screen indicating no, it told me my vote had been cast, and gave me the card back.

Re why I voted early, because I have been really eager to vote.

I think the polls will be very crowded on Nov. 2 because the procedure is more complicated than last time. I anticipate waits of an hour or more.
