I have no feel for this election. Bush is here in NJ today and polls here show kerry with a tiny lead. It used to be 15 points before swift boaters and even after the first debate, bush did not lose much and has regained most of it. And PA and ohio are tossups at the same time. Historically if one was a toss up either PA was safe for the dem or ohio safe for the republican. Go figure all this. I am at a loss to explain the contradictions. Mike
PS We do agree on much in terms of fp. I just dont think you will get what you expect with kerry while bush in a second term might just give you a positive surprise on iraq. Now i am hoping that soon after bush wins, he will replace Rumsfeld with a guy you like. Then we will know we will be on the right track. If kerry wins i like biden more than holbrook in terms of fp leadership. Do you have any other dem names to throw out to us as possibilities for state and/or defense. Always sam nunn.
