I know a lot of foreign born people who are thrilled to be living in America, and more coming every day. 1.3 million legally immigrate to the US and 3 million illegally, I just read not 15 minutes ago. Written by someone who doesn't want this to continue, because he fears it will destroy our way of life.

Xenophobia is a very common feeling.

My first boyfriend was from Argentina. He and his brother used to sit around and say nasty things about America and Americans all the time. They both married American girls and became American citizens. Go figure.

Then there are people who think that what the other person has must be much finer than what they have. Lots of Americans buy Italian flour, thinking it must be superior to American flour. While in Italy, the chefs all love American flour. Italian soil is depleted, and the flour isn't as good. Again, go figure.
